Norwegian visionary artist MORTIIS is ready to hit the stage as headliner of COLD MEAT INDUSTRY 30TH ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL. The SOLD OUT event will take place on November 3rd and 4th in Stockholm (Sweden). MORTIIS will present a live reinterpretation of the 1994 classic album “Ånden Som Gjorde Opprør”.
But more good news are coming from MORTIIS camp. On November 3rd 2017 the albums “Ånden som Gjorde Opprør” and “Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent” (1995) will be reissued as LP and CD in collaboration with the German label Funeral Industries.
In conjunction with the reissues, MORTIIS is also making the original Keiser, Ånden and Født recordings available digitally. This marks the first time some of these releases have ever been legally available digitally.
MORTIIS teamed up with Plastic Head for the digital distribution of both original and remastered versions of all 3 albums.
“Født til å Herske” is a US only release in cooperation with Foreign Sounds. The LP comes on 3 different vinyl colors: 200x Black, 200 Brown/Green Swirl and 100x “Born To Rule/Forest Green” vinyl.
All reissues have been remastered by Jules Seifert, in close collaboration with MORTIIS, and exclusive new artwork was created by renowned French artist David Thierree, based on ideas by MORTIIS.
Ånden som Gjorde Opprør and Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent come on 3 different vinyl colours + 12″ sized inserts, in limited editions:
Ånden som Gjorde Opprør: 200x Silver, 100x Purple, and 450x Black.
Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent: 200x gold, 100x Dark Green, 450x Black.
MORTIIS will appear at the Messe Des Morts festivals in Montreal on November 24, performing the Ånden re-interpretation. MORTIIS will also appear at Finland´s Steelfest in May 2018. Other dates will be announced ongoingly.

In related news MORTIIS will reissue also “Født til å Herske” on LP for the first time in 22 years. In conjunction with “Era 1” cassette re-issues, US label Foreign Sounds presents the legendary Mortiis “Era 1” recording “Født til å herske” available again on LP for the first time since Mortiis’ self-released version from 1995. This legendary dungeon synth masterpiece has been out of print on vinyl for over 20 years.
The original audio has been carefully remastered by Jules Seifert at Epic Audio Media with beautiful new DIE-CUT artwork by David Thiérrée who has created art for Behemoth, Vlad Tepes, Celestia, Primordial and Nocturno Culto. Presented in a limited edition package through a partnership with Omnipresence and Mortiis on 3 colours of vinyl- Black (limited to 200 copies), Forest Green (limited to 200 copies) and Born to Rule Brown/Green (limited to 100 copies).
This release is limited to the United States due to copyright restrictions.
