French technical death metallers CATALYST will release their hugely anticipated second album “A Different Painting For A New World”, on October 14th 2022 via Non Serviam Records.
Today, Metal Injection is hosting the exclusive premiere of the video for the first single, “To Unleash Thy Heinous Fate”.

“We are excited to present our first music video from our sophomore album, with the track ‘To Unleash Thy Heinous Fate’! The video is a nightmarish vision for humanity, a warning for mankind to contemplate inconceivable oblivion. A surrealistic sight of incoming sorrow. An overflow of brutal and light-speed soundscape to describe this dreadful hallucination. Among the black firmament, the human eye can perceive the horrific vision of mangled bodies elevating into secluded twilight, sustained in an aimless drift by the Lords’ powers.
Terror has arisen. Earth is a wreck. This chapter depicts the drastic change that mankind is facing.
Eventually, this troubling event came to an end. As confusion stroke the mind of the living, the corpses fell to the ground, vanishing like dust in the wind… With this music video, we tried to give our best to match this part of the story and to be in harmony with the atmosphere of the song”, explains the band.
Directed by Vincent Tournaud, this music video was shot during 2 days at the border between France and Luxembourg and aims to describe the first chapter of the story written for this album. Mederic Havard was hired to work on all the special effects of this video, creating a unique environment made of corpses elevating in the sky to match the vision of all humans looking up at the sky above them. The eight lords are here, at the edge of the cliff, helping out the Catalyst to get the dead off the ground and to project this horrific vision in the firmament.

“A Different Painting For A New World”, which was produced by HK Krauss at Vamacara Studio (Loudblast, Sinsaneum, Dagoba, among others), brings you to enigmatic field of brutality and epicness.
The original story of “the Catalyst”, vital core character of the band’s concept, is being carried through these 10 brand new tracks. As a “concept band”, CATALYST tells an original story of a universe brought to life by 9 Lords, originally protecting its integrity, but now corrupted by the almighty Creator. In this new chapter, the Catalyst now needs to purify that world, contaminated by the Creator’s madness and chaos. It tells the birth of a better world through destruction, but also about the battle of two entities fighting for different beliefs.
The stunning artwork was created by the French visionary Above Chaos (Meshuggah, Moonsorrow, etc.).
