After having recently announced the details of the new high anticipated album entitled “Dayburner”, out June 8th via Twin Earth Records, the international doom promises HAUNTED launch today their lyric video for “Waterdawn”.

Bass player Frank Tudisco comments: “I think WATERDAWN perfectly summarizes the predominant atmosphere that you can breathe while listening to the whole album. Besides it’s a direct song that comes to the point without too many frills, even if its duration doesn’t reflect a standard radio edit single. Every track of DAYBURNER represents a moment of a particular day, that burns and consuming itself like a candle, and whose sun rays struggle to shine. WATERDAWN is the dawn of this day. The word itself doesn’t exist, but it’s the paronomasia of the English word ‘water down’ which means ‘dilute’ or ‘to reduce the strength or effectiveness of something’. We have changed ‘down’ with ‘dawn’: dawn, precisely.”
“We have entrusted the direction of the lyric video to Sandro Di Girolamo (Elevators To The Grateful Sky, Cavernicular), with whom we collaborate since the beginning of our project”, Cristina Chimirri comments. “Even on this occasion, we have totally relied on his artistic feeling. The result is a monotonous flowing of dancing jellyfish among distressing black ink movements and marine vegetation, which fit perfectly with the metaphors inherent in the song”.

The new chapter, “Dayburner”, has been recorded by Carlo Longo at NuevArte Studio in Catania and mastered by the renowned producer Brad Boatright (Sleep, COC, Yob, Obituary, among others) at Audiosiege Engineering in Portland, Oregon.
The evocative cover artwork has been created by the well-know artist and photographer Deborah Sheedy.
