The Dutch sludge/rock band Komatsu will start the new year in high gear. In the beginning of February the ‘mothersludgers’ will support the legendary band Orange Goblin (UK) on their Dutch tour. Later that month Komatsu will tour throughout Europe together with The Freeks (USA).
The Freeks(USA) is a stoner band formed by members of Fu Manchu and Nebula. The tour starts February 28th in Italy and ends on the 19th of March in Germany. On this European run Komatsu will play 21 shows spread over seven countries.
The beginning of April will be Komatsu’s start of the Dutch festival season, with an appearance at the Paaspop festival. The Thunderbolt; the rock temple of the festival, is the perfect spot to watch Komatsu with their solid show of unadulterated sludge/rock.
And if that’s not enough, Komatsu will embark on a ten day tour (May 2017) on the other side of the equator: Komatsu will tour Brazil.
In addition to the tours and shows above, Komatsu will make a return to the Dutch venues to promote their latest album “Recipe for Murder One” (released in September 2016 by Argonauta Records). The hard working band will also continue their weekend shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Meanwhile the band continues to write songs for their new album.
2017 is going to be a busy and exciting year for Komatsu!.The band is full of energy, so watch out for their new and blunt plans. The band can’t wait to hit the stage in The Netherlands, Europe and Brasil!!
