Norwegian black metallers THOKKIAN VORTEX, fronted by Lord Kaiaphas, the former vocalist of Norwegian black metal act ANCIENT, just unveiled the official video for the song “The Wreathing Serpent” taken from their latest album “Thy Throne is Mine” released on February 28th 2020 via Non Serviam Records.
The band comments: “‘The Wreathing Serpent’ is a black metal ode to the dark primordial deity of the sea, Leviathan, in female form. It features dissonant and minor chords and a shredding guitar solo by Mantus (Patria/Mysteriis/Le Chant Noir)“.

Musically, THOKKIAN VORTEX is Nordic style black metal as it was played in the 90’s by bands such as MAYHEM, EMPEROR, DARK FUNERAL, LIMBONIC ART, SATYRICON, etc.
Besides Lord Kaiaphas, the band features also guitarist Sabnock, bassist Sil, and drummer Asmodevs Draco Dvx (AZRATH 11, NAER MATARON, KURGAALL, ANCIENT, MELECHESH, etc.) in the ranks.
